The Niagara Peninsula is Canada’s largest wine growing region, having the most area “under vine” – with the unique climate advantage of being nestled between Lake Ontario, the Niagara River and the Niagara Escarpment.
With a latitude roughly the same as that of Provence, France and Northern Italy, the industry is well established, having grown vines for the past 150 years. It has earned a reputation for quality while continuing to further refine many different varieties of wine from Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, Pinot Noir, Merlot and of course Bubbly!
The brands represented by Tina at InSpiirit Inc. include some larger wineries with a long history in the area such as Southbrook Organic Vineyards, Konzelmann Estate Winery and Hernder Estate Wines– as well as others that may be relatively newer on the wine scene, but are absolutely bursting with flavour, including Angels Gate Winery and Megalomaniac. From Prince Edward County, we are proud to include Redtail Vineyards, low intervention since 2008. All have been recognized at various Ontario, Canada and Decanter World Wine awards.
InSpiirit also has a partnership with The Wine Agents to supply international wines from France, Italy, New Zealand and The USA. With many unique varietals and blends there is something to suit everyone’s unique palate including Certified Vegan and Organic options.
